Pre-Kindergarten Summary

Each day of preschool brings many new experiences to the Purple Panda Pre-K classes.  Throughout the year, classes have daily exposure to stories, songs, fingerplays, arts and crafts projects, and lessons that apply to current topic of study.   There is also plenty of opportunity to play independently as well as in concert with the other children in the class.  The Pre-K classroom has many age appropriate small manipulative toys as well as time each day to explore and play in the many dramatic play areas.  Large muscle activities are planned to complete the well rounded school experiences offered each day.  The teachers encourage and stress the use of good manners, following directions, and independent behaviors.  At Purple Panda, each child is strongly encouraged and expected to "do for himself/herself".  Areas of study include academic preparatory activities as well as "just for fun" experiences.  We feel that your child will enjoy each day in the Pre-K class at Purple Panda and will grow to love learning, serving him/her well with future educational journeys.
